Hyderabad, August 26: On publication of a news item in Siasat about dumping cement bags and other materials, the members of Deccan Wakf Properties Protection Society became alert and determined to rehabilitate the Qutub Shahi Mosque in Golconda Fort area. They contacted the officials of Archaeology Department. The officials promised that they would remove the cement bags from the mosque.
The members of the Society themselves took the initiative and removed the cement bags and cleared the mosque premises. Mr. Osman Al-Hajri, Mr. Nawaz Ghalib, Mr. Riyaz Ali, Mr. Shaik Shamsuddin Ahmed, Mr. Maqbool Al-Hajri and others participated in the clearing of the area.
