The increasing popularity of cell phones has a negative impact particularly on young boys and girls which is disgraceful for the society.
Some organizations and religious leaders are taking initiative to prevent the society from destruction. The champions of this cause believe that if a ban is imposed on the use of cell phones by young girls it would prove helpful in eliminating evils from the society.
In this regard the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (New) in Orissa has announced to impose ban on the use of cell phones by unmarried young girls. The motive behind this is to prevent the young girls from vices.
Board feels that use of cell phones by unmarried young girls is ignominious as several vulgar and nonsense messages are sent through them, which can have negative impact on young girls.
President Muslim Personal Law Board, Tauqeer Raza Khan, feels that young girls should kept away from cell phones and they should be allowed to use them only after the marriage.
He further stated that almost 80 percent Indian Muslims are severely affected by ‘Cell phone culture’ which can have a harmful affect on Muslim society and is also violation of Islamic Shariah.
