A round table conference entitled ‘What happened on 17th September?’ was held by Hyderabad Deccan Democratic Alliance on September 17. General Secretary Muslim Personal Law Board and President Tameer-e-Millat Maulana Raheem Quraishi, President Voice of Telangana Capt. Pandu Ranga Reddy, Co-convenor 1969 Telangana Moment Founders Forum Dr. K Chiranjeevi, President Telangana History Dr. T Vivek, Ram Das, Venkat Rajan, Sri Ramulu ex-MLA, Sanaullah Khan, Adil Muhammad, Nayeemullah Shareef, Sirajuddin Aijaz, Sajid Khan, Hayat Husain Habeeb and others addressed on the occasion and condemned the efforts to celebrate on September 17.
Maulana Raheem Quraishi said that police action was also called as Operation Polo and Operation Kabaddi and its history had been distorted. President Voice of Telangana Capt. Pandu Ranga Reddy revealed that an SP of Akola who was also involved in Operation Kabaddi was still alive and he in his book had clearly mentioned that Operation Kabaddi was a planned conspiracy against Asif Jahi Sultanate which aimed at spreading hatred against Asif Jahi rulers specially Asif Jah VII. Capt. Reddy further said that there were many states which had kingship where democratic system was enforced after Britishers left India but the day was not celebrated elsewhere. He also revealed that Andhrite communists masquerading razakars would commit atrocities against people. They looted in night donning the attire of razakars. Andhrite communists under the patronage of Indian Union created hatred between Hindus and Muslims in Hyderabad state.
Dr. K Chiranjeevi addressing the round table conference told that facts were being brushed under the carpet and historical facts were distorted. The truth is that over 3 lakh Muslims were massacred in the name of Police Action.
