Telangana TDP official spokesperson Rajaram Yadav today demanded that the TRS government celebrate September 17 as “Telangana Liberation Day” offcially.
The TDP leader said if the TRS government failed to celebrate the Liberation Day officially, the TDP would celebrate the Day by hoisting national flags at all mandal offices across the State. He reminded that KCR had demanded K Rosaiah, who was chief minister of United State in 2013, to celebrate the Telangana Liberation Day officially. KCR had even charged Rosaiah with insulting the people of Telangana by not celebrating the day officially.
Rajaram also reminded that even Harish Rao, K Taraka Ramarao and MP Kavita had also spoken about the Liberation Day repeatedly before formation of Telangana State. But now even after coming to power, the TRS leaders have forgotten about their demand and not even speaking about it, he alleged. If the TRS government failed to celebrate the Liberation Day officially, the TDP would hoist national flag on all mandal offices in the State, he said, adding that the party was ready to face any situation on that day.
