President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Mr. K.Chandrasekhara Rao appealed to the people of Telangana to celebrate 1st November as the day of treachery and to hoist black flags on the houses as a mark of protest. In this way, they should express their displeasure to the merger of Telangana into A.P. State.
He appealed to TRS workers to organize protest rallies in all the districts of Telangana.
Prof. Kondandaram, Chairman of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee has appealed the people’s representatives and the ministers belonging to Telangana to boycott A.P. Formation Day celebrations to express their displeasure on the injustices being done to the people of Telangana. He said that the people of Telangana are demanding a separate State witnessing the injustice meted out to them.
He further told that Central Govt. is delaying this issue under the pretext of consensus from among all the political parties of the State.
He told that all the major parties of Telangana are in favor of separate Telangana. It is, therefore, not necessary to have further consultations. Central Govt. should introduce a bill in the winter session of Parliament for the formation of separate Telangana State.
