Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India]: A Commandant-Wing Cadre level flag meeting was held between India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers on international boundary in the Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir today.
In the meeting which was convened upon on Pakistan’s request, the commanders of both the border guarding forces discussed various issues including recent unprovoked firing in Samba Sector and other routine issues related to border management.
“It was decided to re-energize instant communication between field commanders, whenever required, to resolve the petty matters. Meeting was held in a cordial, positive and constructive atmosphere and both sides agreed for expeditious implementation of the decisions taken in the earlier meeting and committed to each other to maintain peace and tranquility at International Border,” an official release stated.
