Ceasefire violation: Parrikar says Pak doesn’t seem to learn lessons

Firing salvos at Pakistan for the latest ceasefire violation at border outposts, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Thursday said the neigbouring state doesn’t seem to learn lessons.

“We are surrounded in the northern part of the country by two neighbours who are not very comfortable. Pakistan does not like to stay quiet even on New Year’s Day. That is why they fired from across the border at 12.30 am. That nation doesn’t seem to learn lessons,” Parrikar said while addressing a rally here.

The Defence Minister added that the northern borders are kept safe due to the technological innovations forged in Bangalore

“Bangalore is the brain of India in space research. Thus we must thank Bangalore for keeping our northern borders safe,” he added.

Pakistan Rangers started unprovoked firing at border outposts along the International Border in Jammu late last night.

The latest ceasefire violation comes after Islamabad reportedly summoned India’s Deputy High Commissioner to the country yesterday evening to register its protest over the alleged killing of four Pakistani Rangers by the BSF in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba Sector. (ANI)
