BHOPAL: Defence expert Major General (retired) S.R. Sinho on Friday said that today’s ceasefire violation, in which Pakistan Rangers indulged in unprovoked firing and heavy mortar shelling in the civil area, reflects Islamabad’s impatience for dealing with India.
“Pakistan has again carried out a ceasefire violations since last night in the arena area in RS Pura. The Pakistani rangers have fired from the international border on 5 BSF posts. This firing is basically aimed at civilians. Out of that 3 civilians have been killed and 12 injured,” Sinho told ANI.
“The firing on civilian area reflects Pakistan’s impatience and Pakistani feeling frustrated as to how to deal with India,” he added.
Also in view of the forthcoming talk between the BSF commanders, Sihno further pointed out that whenever any talk is about to take place, Pakistan always resorts to such activities.
“Pakistan has always been referred as a terrorist state by various nations and countries. Sooner Pakistan realises, the better it will be for it otherwise they will have to suffer severely,” he said.
Three civilians were killed and eight others were injured after Pakistani troops violated the cease-fire arrangement along the Line of Control (LoC) again.
At the time of the filing of this report mortar shelling from the Pakistan side was still on and the Border Security Force (BSF) were retaliating accordingly.
The injured have been admitted to hospital and are receiving medical aid.
