Meerut: Surveillance cameras will be installed to monitor centres, control rooms and other places ahead of the UP state board examinations, officials said here today.
Joint Director (Education) Mahendra Dev today said that final touch is being given to preparations for conducting the examinations.
In a meeting, Board of High School and Intermediate Education Commissioner Alok Sinha today directed to install CCTV cameras at examination centres including their entrance, control rooms and at the places where question papers are kept during class X and XII exams, Dev said.
The board has established 138 examination centres in Meerut, 64 in Baghpat, 65 in Ghaziabad, 54 in Gautam Budh Nagar, 112 in Bulandshahr and 41 in Hapur, the Joint Director said.
