CBSE paper leaks: Parents to move Delhi HC for court-monitored probe

New Delhi [India]: In the wake of the leaking of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) question board papers, the All India Parents Association (AIPA) on Friday said it would move the Delhi High Court to seek a court-monitored probe in the case.

Stating that these paper leaks have rocked the morale and confidence of students and parents, the AIPA president and lawyer Ashok Aggarwal said they are moving a petition in the Delhi High Court on Monday for a high court-monitored investigation.

Earlier in the day, Education Secretary at the Human Resource and Development ministry Anil Swarup announced that the re-examination of the CBSE’s Class 12 economics paper will be held on April 25, while the re-test for Class 10 mathematics paper, if required, is likely to be conducted only in Delhi and Haryana in July.

Delhi police are already conducting a probe into the CBSE question paper leaks.

On Wednesday, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed after the CBSE registered two cases with the Crime Branch.

The papers of class XII Economics held on March 26, and class X Maths, held on March 28, were leaked on social media hours before the examination. (ANI)
