New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 results for all ten regions were announced on Saturday with girls again performing better than boys.
As per the CBSE, the passing percentage of girls stood at 88.58 compared with boys which was 78.85.
Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala recorded the highest percentage of passing with 97.61 followed by Chennai in Tamil Nadu with 92.63 percent.
Around 10,65,000 students had appeared for the examination that began on March 1 and concluded on April 22.
This year an increase of 2.38 percent candidates registration was recorded with the education board as compared to last year.
According to the CBSE, 83.05 percent students have cleared the exam this year as against last year wherein 82 percent students passed the examination.
