The Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP), New Delhi has honored AP Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO) and AP State Energy Conservation Mission (APSECM) of Andhra Pradesh government, with the best performance awards in the categories of Thermal Power Generation and Promotion of Energy Efficiency respectively. The APTRANSCO has also been nominated to the honors of “Enertia South Asia” Award in the category of Utilities & T&D, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who was camping at the national capital during a teleconference with top officials of power sector.
AP Principal Secretary, Energy I&I and CRDA, Ajay Jain, who participated in the interaction with the Chief Minister stated that CBIP awards for excellence in Thermal Power generation and promotion of Energy Efficiency and ENERTIA – South Asia award to APTRANSCO in T&D category are the testimonials of the best performance carried out by the Power Utilities. Ajay Jain & K Vijayanand have thanked the jury of CBIP and 10th Enertia awards for selecting the AP Power utilities in the best categories of the awards. The CBIP awards will be presented on CBIP Day on December 29.
Uma Bharti, Union Minister, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Vijay Goel, Union Minister of State (IC), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Union Minister, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State (IC), Ministries of Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines, are expected to grace the award ceremony to be held at New Delhi.
