Hyderabad, January 25: The CBI special court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a petition to January 30, wherein the Central Bureau of Investigation has sought permission to conduct Narco analysis test on Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy in the disproportionate assets case against YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The court adjourned the hearing after Vijay Sai Reddy’s counsel sought time to file a counter petition in this connection.
Earlier, the probing agency moved a petition before the court seeking its nod to conduct the Narco test at Bangalore or Ahmedabad. The CBI claimed that Vijay Sai Reddy was not revealing the facts in connection with the illegal assets case despite frequent questioning.
The CBI told the court that unless Vijay Sai Reddy reveals the facts, it would be difficult to unravel the conspiracy. The CBI said that Vijay Sai Reddy played a key role in floating dozens of companies and mobilised investments from various companies, both from India and abroad, for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
