CBI unearths fake cosmetics manufacturing units

New Delhi, May 13: The CBI has unearthed several units allegedly involved in producing duplicate perfume in the city and seized material worth crores.

According to agency officials, a case under different sections of IPC, Drugs and Cosmetic Act and Trade Mark Act has been registered against Inderjeet Singh, manufacturer of duplicate perfume, and his associates.

The accused had been running their units at several places in the national capital including Vishnu Garden in Khyala, Bagh Kare Khan, Kishanganj and Narsingh Garden, officials said.

The factory located at Vishnu Garden was the main manufacturing unit which used to produce and supply about 50 litres of of perfume (1,000 bottles of 50 ml each).
