New Delhi, April 27: CBI today sought prosecution of former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar and others for the killing four persons during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots here.
Arguing before Additional Sessions Judge Sunita Gupta, senior counsel R S Cheema alleged Kumar, a former outer Delhi MP, had incited a mob which killed the four persons near Delhi Cantonment.
Cheema, appearing for CBI, also sought framing of charges against Kumar for being involved in sedition saying he had incited one group of people against another.
CBI concluded the arguments in the case in which Kumar and other accused are likely to put forth their rebuttal tomorrow during the arguments on charges.
The court, which is hearing the arguments on charges, allowed CBI’s plea to separate the two cases in which it had filed chargesheets against Kumar and others.
