NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday carried out raids at the residence of Supreme Court advocates Indira Jaising and Anand Grover, in connection with Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) violation case.

According to media reports, the searches are taking place at the homes and offices of Jaising and Grover in Mumbai and Delhi. However, officials were tight-lipped and did not give any details about the exact locations searches the raids are going on.
The agency, booked Grover, husband of former Additional Solicitor General Indira Jaising for alleged Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act violations in receiving foreign aid.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has condemned the raid. Taking to his Official Twitter handle, Kejriwal wrote, “I strongly condemn CBI raids on well known senior advocates @IJaising and Mr Anand Grover. Let the law take its own course but subjecting veterans who have all through their lives fought for upholding the rule of law & Constitutional values is clear vendetta.”
