Amritsar(Pun), August 02: An eight member CBI team today conducted a surprise raid at an Amritsar-based Medical college and scrutinised the institute’s accounts and academic records.
The CBI sleuths remained inside the college premises from noon till evening and none of the staff members were allowed inside the office during this period, police said.
However, the college authorities described the CBI exercise as a routine checking.
But police officials said the raid was conducted based on complaints of some fake degrees issued in the past.
