Koraput (Orissa), May 07: A four-member CBI team from Bhubaneswar today raided the All India Radio (AIR) station at Jeypore, about 20 km from here.
The raid was conducted to ascertain the alleged financial irregularities at the station, official sources said.
“We had received complaints about mass financial irregularities going on at the radio station for years and so the raid was conducted,” a member of the CBI team said.
“All documents and financial statements of the station are being verified. Investigation is on and nothing could be divulged at this moment,” he said.
The AIR station at Jeypore, established in 1964, had plunged into controversy in recent times for alleged factionalism among its staff.
