CBI quizzes Jagan for the third-day

Hyderabad, June 5 (INN): The Central Bureau of Investigation continued questioning YSR Congress party president Jaganmohan Reddy in the disproportionate assets case on the third consecutive day on Tuesday.

Jagan was taken from Chanchalguda Central Jail, where he is presently lodged, to CBI’s office at Kendriya Sadan in Koti at around 10.30 am. Jagan was taken in a bullet proof vehicle under tight security.

Sources say that the CBI has adopted a tough tone since it was unable to extract information from the Kadapa MP with regard to investments made into the his companies. On Tuesday, he was reportedly questioned about the investments made into the Jagathi Publications and Janani Infra in the presence of Sakshi Editorial Director S Ramakrishna Reddy and Congress MLA from Kakinada segment D Chandrasekhara Reddy, who were summoned to the CBI office.

The legislator was one of independent director of Janani Infra.

Sources said that the CBI has so far questioned Jaganmohan Reddy about the investments received from industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad in return for the land and other concessions given for his port project Vanpic. The CBI is also tracing the investments made into Sandur Power and other firms from foreign locations, especially Mauritius.

Jagan, who was arrested by the CBI on May 27, will remain in CBI custody till June 7. After the completion of questioning, Jagan was shifted back to the Chanchalguda Central Jail.
