Hyderabad, January 25: The Central Bureau of Investigation
(CBI) today produced Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s close aide Sunil
Reddy, arrested in connection with the Emaar properties case
yesterday, before CBI special court at Nampally here today.
The CBI, which picked up Reddy from his residence
yesterday, questioned him throughout the day.
The agency also conducted searches at his residences in
the city and seized some important documents.
Though media had reported that he was arrested in the
disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress Party President
Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the investigating agency said he was
arrested around 1850 hrs yesterday in connection with Emaar
properties case.
The CBI had registered cases under sections 120(b), 420,
477 and 409.
The CBI suspects that Sunil Reddy had played a key role in
the sale of Villas by Emaar properties.
This was the second arrest in the case, the first being
that of Industrialist Koneru Prasad, who was currently lodged
in Chenchalaguda central jail after registered a case in the
Emaar scandal on August 17.
