A delegation of People’s Union for Civil Liberties called on home minister Sabita Indira Reddy and demanded release of innocent Muslim youth and to put a curb on police excesses continued in old city by submitting a written memorandum. Besides submitting a memorandum, the delegation also presented a report on recent communal incidents prepared after visiting the riot hit areas and getting details from local victims.
The delegation also demanded probe into the incidents. The delegation told home minister that situation has changed a lot after recent riots in the city. They accused administration of arresting innocent people and creating unrest among people by unwarranted arrest.
