Chairman Andhra Pradesh State Minority Commission, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan called on Union Minority Affairs Minister Mrs. Najma Heptulla and briefed her regarding destruction of Waqf properties in the state. He requested her to issue orders for CBI investigations into destruction of Waqf properties as Union Minority Affairs Minister so that facts are brought to the light.
Citing the report prepared by the commission on the occasion Mr. Abid Rasool Khan said that union ministry can issue probe orders for unauthorised transfer and illegal handover of Waqf properties.
He later told that Union Minority Affairs Minister Mrs. Najma Heptulla assured that she will certainly think over the issue and consultation would be made with regard to issuance of probe orders.
