CBI grills Mopidevi on land allotment to Vanpic project

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today grilled Prohibition and Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana for about four hours with regard to allotment of land for Vanpic sea port project. The Minister and a few other officials including senior IAS officer Manmohan Singh were questioned by the CBI at Dilkusha Guest House in connection with Vanpic, promoted by industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad. Later, talking to reporters, Mopidevi said he was summoned by the CBI as a witness in the case. However, he did not reveal the questions that were asked to him by the CBI. Mopidevi said the CBI wanted to know whether the decision related to Vanpic project were taken on individual basis or were cabinet decisions. UNI
