CBI Court permits Jagan to visit Idupulapaya

The CBI Special Court on Monday permitted YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s petition to visit Idupulapaya in Kadapa district for two days.

While permitting Jagan to visit Idupulapaya on October 1 and 2, the CBI Court refused to permit him to visit Guntur on October 4.

In a petition filed on September 26, Jagan sought court’s permission to visit Idupulapaya, the resting place of his late father and former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, on October 1 and 2nd and also to participate in farmers’ agitation on Samaikhyandhra on October 4 in Guntur. However, the CBI, which filed its counter on Monday, opposed Jagan’s petition and feared that he might influence the witnesses and tamper with the evidence if allowed to go outside Hyderabad.

After hearing the arguments and counter arguments, the CBI court permitted Jagan to go to Idupulapaya while rejecting the request to visit Guntur. (INN)
