CBI court issues summons to Dharmana in Vanpic case

The Principal Special CBI court here today issued summons to Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and directed him to appear before it on September 25. The court took into consideration the chargsheet filed by the CBI in the Vanpic Case on August 13 and issued the summons. Judge U Durga Prasada Rao decided to take the charges framed against Mr Prasad by the CBI under IPC for inquiry. Mr Prasad had resigned from the Kiran Kumar Reddy Cabinet on August 14. His resignation has not been accepted by the Governor so far. However, the Judge set aside the charges framed by the CBI against the minister under the Prevention of corruption Act as permission from the Governor was not yet received.
