CBI court issues summons to Acharya, Subrahmanyam in Emaar case

The CBI court on Saturday issued summons to IAS officers L V Subrahmanyam and B P Acharya in connection with their alleged role in Emaar scam.

The special court while issuing summons to both the bureaucrats, asked them to appear before the court on June 18. As BP Acharya, who arrested by the CBI, is presently lodged in Chanchalguda Central Jail, the court has issued Prisoner Transit Warrant against him and directed the jail authorities to produce him in the court on June 18.

LV Subrahmanyam is presently working as Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam’s Administrative Board. The probing agency has already registered cases under IPC sections 120(B) and 109. (INN)
