CBI Joint Director VV Laxminarayana has confirmed that some premises were searched in Mumbai on Saturday. He said the documents seized in Jagan’s case and also the Emaar properties were being scrutinised. He said the CBI would send its team to foreign countries, if required, in connection with the probe. He said notices would be issued to the concerned companies or individuals in the case at an appropriate time.

Meanwhile, sources say that the CBI might serve the notice to Jagan Mohan Reddy and his business partners next week asking them to appear before the agency for questioning. Based on the documents and hard disks seized from their possessions, the CBI officials are presently preparing the questionnaire for all those involved in the case. The CBI has already submitted the seized documents and hard disks in the AP High Court on whose directions it has taken up investigations.

Sources say that four ministers and at least 15 IAS officials have come under the CBI scanner for the alleged involvement in allotment of lands or showing favours to companies owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy and his business partners. The CBI is likely to submit a detailed report on the status of investigation to the High Court and seek its directions to proceed further.
