CBI Chief Sinha is in hole

After the Supreme court has ousted the CBI Chief Sinha from 2G scam, Sinha is in more trouble as the Supreme Court, on Monday, agreed to hear a plea requesting a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to examine the allegations of interference and scuttling of investigation against him.

The court’s directive came on a plea by lawyer Prashant Bhushan, whom calimed that Ranjit Sinha frequently met top executives of a company being tried in the 2G case allegedly operating on their behalf at his official residence. He demanded Sinha be removed from supervising the probe.

A bench headed by Justice MB Lokur said that it appears that all is not well and it seems that allegations made in the application by NGO CPIL has some credibilit.

Dismissing all the claims, Sinha said, “What is the point of such allegations? “I can meet anybody but thequestion will raise “If have done anything to favour such a person in any CBI probe”. I have did nothing wrong,” the CBI chief said.
