The government has ordered a CB-CID probe against Former chairman of the AP State Waqf Board (APSWB) Syed Ghulam Afzal Biyabani and two other officials of the Waqf Board former CEO Mohammed Habeebuddin and office clerk Mohammed Shamsuddin for large scale irregularities and violation of rules while leasing large and small waqf land parcels.
According to reliable sources just before giving resignation, Kiran Kumar Reddy gave green signal to the CBCID investigations by signing a file that was pending for one year in his office. All resolutions pertaining to leases during December 16, 2008 to December 15, 2013 would be scrutinized.
