Samastipur: Cave digging has always been a dangerous work for many workers losing their lives during their digging and a similar incident is reported in Bihar today.
At least 5 people were killed in Bihar’s Samastipur today while they were digging land for constructing a pond at the spot ahead of the Chhath Puja.
Three women and one child are reported to be injured in the accident killing three on the spot while two others breathed their last in the hospital, IndiaTv reports.
A rescue operation is under the way and the relatives of the victims will be given an ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh said the ADM Sanjay Upadhyaya.
