The pathology department of local Rajindra Government Medical College has not been able to ascertain whether Fiza died of heart attack, as the tissues of her heart were badly decomposed.
The hospital is now likely to send the samples, including the tissue of Fiza’s heart, to Kharar-based
government chemical laboratory for further examination.
The special panel of doctors headed by Dr Manjeet Singh Bal said here today there was not a single drop of blood
in the tissue of heart sent by Mohali police for examination, which made it difficult to ascertain the
cause of her death.
Dr Bal said, ‘The tissue of Fiza’s heart has been completely decomposed and during the preliminary
examination we failed to find any symptoms of heart attack or blockage of blood circulation. We have decided to
examine it again. It we fail to ascertain anything again,a part of the tissue will be sent to chemical laboratory
in Kharar.’
Dr Bal maintained that a report will be sent to Mohali district police within four days.
