Watch how CPM leader robbing a NRI businessman’s home in Kerala

Everyone agrees that corrupt politicians steal from the public. But it is not usually meant quite so literally.

However, in a video that went viral, CPI (M) Vayalodi Branch Secretary C Raghavan in Kerala carrying out a robbery identified as Raghavan, a popular leader in North Kerala’s Kasargode district. CPI (M) party member was expelled with immediate effect after police announced the shocking discovery. He has been missing since the video went viral.

Mohamed Younus, the businessman, and his family live in the UAE and nobody was at home when the accused broke into his home. On Monday, Younus’s relatives saw the front door of his house open and informed the police.

According to the police, there was no money or gold in the house and since the house owner was not at home, it cannot be identified whether something valuable has been lost.

Police were able to identify Raghavan based on the security footage. He was seen walking around the house, wielding an iron rod and carrying a bag. Dressed in a white dhoti and shirt, he is believed to have broken into the house late on Monday night.

“We have registered a case and are looking for Raghavan who is absconding now”, said a police officer of Kasargode.
