Bangalore: BJP leader Ramakrishnappa got caught in a CCTV footage as he allegedly assaulted the headmistress, Asha, of a school on Monday.
The incident took place on the school premises in the area of Singanayakanahalli over a financial dispute, reported The New Indian Express.
According to the police, Ramakrishnappa was outraged over Asha for not paying the interest, as she had taken a loan of Rs 70,000 from him.
The BJP leader, father of Janardhan (the president of BJP yuva morcha in Yelahanka) is also known to be a close aide of Yelahanka MLA Vishwanath.
The police have reportedly detained his son Janardhan for questioning as Ramakrishnappa is absconding.
