Caught on cam: TRS leader’s drunk son stabs toll plaza manager over Rs 30 fare

HYDERABAD: In yet another instance of high-handedness, son of a ruling TRS corporator and his friends allegedly thrash and stabbed a toll plaza manager over Rs 30 toll fee.

The incident happened on Monday night at Kadthal toll plaza on Srisailam highway was caught on camera.

The main culprit, Manish Goud is the son LB Nagar TRS in-charge Rammohan Goud and B.N. Reddy corporator Lakshmi Prasanna, reported India Today.

Manish Goud and his friends, all B.Tech graduates aged around 22, were coming towards Hyderabad in a four-wheeler after attending the birthday party of a friend last night.

Onlookers told the police that Manish and five others were in an inebriated condition at the time of the incident.

The video footage recorded by one of the workers shows a group of youngsters chasing and attacking another person (presumably Toll plaza supervisor M Mahesh) when they were asked to pay toll.

They tried to stab Mahesh but he defend and sustain injuries on his both hands. They physically assaulted two of his colleagues when they rushed to his aid and fled from the spot.

The injured were later taken to a hospital for treatment.

After the video went viral, the police arrested all six accused and a case under IPC 307 (attempt to murder) has been registered against them.

“The toll supervisor has given a complaint. He is being treated at a hospital for injuries. We have arrested them under the section of the attempt to murder,” said the Kadhal Sub-Inspector, reported News18.
