Bengaluru: An alleged rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death in broad daylight by a gang of five armed men at Chandrappa Road in Kamala Nagar on Wednesday morning.
The man was identified as Sunil (24), a resident of Chandrappa Road in Kamala Nagar.
According to media reports, at around 8.30 am, the gang of five barged into Sunil’s house and hacked him to death with knives and machetes in full public view.
During the attack, Sunil’s mother Usha (45) also sustained injuries when she tried to rescued her son from the assailants.
The members of a rival gang led by “Spot” Naga fled the scene after they were convinced that Sunil was dead.
A resident of the area recorded the entire episode of the brutal hacking on his mobile hone which soon went viral on social media.
Sunil was declared brought dead after the local police rushed him to a near-by hospital.
Sunil, a rowdysheeter at the Basaveshwaranagar police station had two attempt to murder and dacoity cases and recently come out of jail on bail.
It is said that the deceased had attempt to murder another rowdy sheeter named Spot Naga, who survived with serious injuries. After coming out of prison, Sunil teased and ridiculed Naga, which led to the attack, police said.
