Hyderabad, April 11: In the swamplands of Assam’s Kaziranga National Park, lives one of India’s most amazing creatures, the great one-horned rhino.

Kaziranga is a remarkable success story. Over 1,100 Rhinos live at Kaziranga, alongwith herds of wild elephants, Buffalo and Deer, which form the main prey for the Tigers.
Discover India follows the fortunes of a baby Rhino during its first year and features the courtship and mating behaviour of the enormous adult Rhinos. During the monsoon, the mighty Brahmaputra overflows and inundates Kaziranga.
While many of the elephants leave for the safety of the Mikir Hills to the south, the Rhinos and other animals have to weather the flood as best as they can.
