New Delhi: Shortly after CNN-News18 aired a story about underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s residence in Karachi, his aide Chhota Shakeel dared India to catch the terror don.
As per News18 reports, Shakeel over the phone said, “Why are you not catching him? This is what you want to hear, right? If that man is who you say it is, then go catch him.”
Shakeel’s respond came after CNN-News18 on Wednesday claimed that it has tracked down India’s most wanted fugitive Dawood Ibrahim at his Pakistan-based location.
“CNN-NEWS18 has secured clinching video evidence of Dawood Ibrahim’s presence in Pakistan, a claim denied by Islamabad for 23 long years,” the news channel said in a statement released here.
Shakeel said there are many people by the name of Dawood Ibrahim in Karachi and that the people caught on tape were not referring to the don.
Since the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts – masterminded by Dawood, after which he went missing – Pakistan has been in denial over the presence of Dawood in Karachi.
Despite several evidences by the Indian government, Pakistan has never accepted that Dawood is staying there.
