Patna: Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who cast his vote on Wednesday during the third phase of Bihar Assembly polls, urged people to exercise their right to vote, and said that people should cast their vote, but not vote their caste.
“I have come here just to vote. I believe that to vote is our national responsibility. I think that everyone should cast his or her vote,” Sinha told ANI in an exclusive interview.
“Even if you don’t like any of the candidates in the election, there is an option of NOTA (None Of The Above). I am not saying that I have voted for NOTA,” he added.
“The most important part is that people, in large numbers, should be provoked that ‘cast your vote, but don’t generally vote your caste.’ And that’s why I have come here to exercise my right to vote. And, I am happy about it,” he added. (ANI)
