December 3, 2016 by rasia

Hyderabad: 30 lakh people in the state do not have bank accounts hence they are in serious trouble due to cashless transaction drive of centre and state governments. Banks refuse to open new accounts on the excuse of being busy till December 30.

The comprehensive survey done by Telangana government on one day revealed that there are 1,07,93,207 families in he state and total population of the state is 36,30,31,012 of which only 71,15,229 possess bank accounts. However there are 30 lakh accounts with zero transactions.

Post demonetisation poor and those not having bank accounts are facing severe hardships. Whatever amount they had accumulated through working hard old currency they could not deposit the same for not having bank accounts. Several labours went jobless or are deprived of their daily wages owing to cash crunch and shortage of change.
