Andhra Pradesh: The cash-for-vote case has reached its final stage the ACB has sent voice samples of Revanth Reddy, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, Mathias Jerusalem and Sebastian to FSL for the voice matching test, where the process is currently on.
According to Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials, there were 516 telephonic conversations in bishop Harry Sebastian’s HTC phone of which 102 were related to the cash-for-vote case. The audio visual recordings of the trap captured by the ACB in iPhones and audio recordings in Sony digital recorders were tested at FSL .
The audio visual recordings of the trap captured by the ACB recordings were found to be authentic.
Sebastian’s phone also has the recording of a conversation between Chandrababu Naidu and Elvis Stephenson. The ACB could now seek voice sample of the AP chief minister from the assembly through the court. As the case involves the CM of a neighbouring state, the probe agency is treading cautiously and waiting for a green signal from `higher-ups’.
Sebastian’s voice sample was said to be inadequate, but the case against him still holds good as he was caught red-handed at the trap site at Vikrampuri Colony on May 31.
ACB sources said they had gathered sufficient evidence about the source of the Rs 50 lakh bribe amount .”A few more names will be added to the supplementary charge-sheet based on FSL voice matching test results. In relation to the Rs 50 lakh bribe amount, there will not be any big surprises,” an ACB source.
