Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Monday claimed that the common people have completely lost faith on politicians due to the ‘Cash for Vote’ case in which TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was caught red handed while trying to bribe another MLA Elvis Stephenson.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, VHR said a fair probe and action against the guilty could restore the people’s faith on both politics and politicians. He said he had written a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao demanding CBI probe into the case. He said that the State Government should take measures to speed up the investigation into the case and all those involved should be exposed.
Speaking about former PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana’s exodus to YSR Congress Party, VHR said Botsa and his family earned a huge wealth by staying with the Congress party. However, by joining the YSRCP Botsa has given proof that he was one of the most corrupt politicians, he alleged adding that the Congress leaders of Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam would ensure that Botsa’s absence is not felt.
