The Anti-Corruption Bureau is likely to record the statement of nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson on Saturday in connection with the ‘Cash for Vote’ case.
According to sources, the ACB is likely to record Stephenson’s statement on how and when he was approached by TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy offering bribe for his vote in the MLC elections. The ACB is also likely to take information about all the persons who contacted him till Revanth Reddy was arrested on May 31.
Meanwhile, the ACB has hastened up the investigation into the case. On Friday, it had sent two cell phones, video cameras and CPU seized from Revanth Reddy’s house to the Forensic Science Laboratory. They have also sent 14 audio and video tapes to the FSL for forensic investigation. The ACB sources have claimed that the forensic tests would be completed in the next two days. (INN)
