The West Zone Police conducted a special drive on Friday on money lenders who are indulging in money lending business illegally without any valid license and collecting huge rate of interest from the innocent, gullible people.
A total of 25 cases (Asifnagar division= 10 cases, Goshamahal division= 8 cases, Banjara Hills division= 4 and Panjagutta division= 3 cases) were booked. Stamp papers, promissory notes and daily finance dairies were seized and the arrested persons are being remanded to judicial custody. The West Zone DCP M Stephen Raveendra has requested all concerned to report to Station House Officers or the Asst. Police Commissioners if money lender’s are fleecing innocent people.(NSS)
