Case against Raveena Tandon for shooting inside Lingaraj Temple

Bhubaneswar: A case has been registered against actress Raveena Tandon by administration of Lingaraja Temple in Bhubaneswar for allegedly shooting an advertisement inside the premises of the 11th century and ASI protected lord Shiva shrine, the authorities informed on Tuesday.

“The temple administration has filed a complaint against Raveena Tandon at Lingaraj Police Station for shooting an advertisement film in the no camera zone,” said Rajiv Lochan Parida, the management-in-charge of the temple administration.

The incident came into notice when a video got surfaced on social media featuring the actress offering beauty tips inside the temple’s premises, while it is recorded by a person with a mobile phone.

Confirming the FIR, Bhubaneswar DCP Satybrat Bhoi said the police are examining the allegations. Parida said that only servitors (servants) are allowed to carry mobile phones inside the temple. He added saying it is a clear case of violation of the security norms.

The Archaeological Survey of India has also launched an investigation into the issue.
