Warangal: In a bizarre incident, a three-day-old baby, whom the doctors at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital here pronounced dead and issued a death certificate to that effect, was found alive with her movements at the cremation ground on the city outskirts on Sunday. The incident exposed the criminal negligence of the government doctors and plight of the public.
The baby, who was born very weak and motionless was admitted to MGM hospital on Friday. She was put in an incubator and her condition deteriorated on Saturday evening. The doctors declared the new-born dead and issued a death certificate. Her grieving parents Srinivas and Swapna of Pegadapally village while preparing to cremate the baby on Sunday, suddenly showed symptoms of life and moved. The couple took the baby back to the hospital and accosted the doctors, who started treating her again.
