Case on Minister if details not found in affidavit: CEO

Chief Election Officer Banwarlal here today made it clear that a criminal case would be registered under Section 125 (A) against Secondary Education Ministerr K Parthasarathi, if the foreign exchange trade, which he made, was not found in his election affidavit. Talking to newsmen, he said Krishna District Collector Buddhaprakash Jyothi was asked to examine the election affidavit which the Minister filed during 2009 Assembly elections. ‘If the foreign exchange transactions were not mentioned in the affidavit by the Minister, a case under section 125 (A) will be registered and put before the court’ he informed. It may be noted that Secondary Education Minister K Parthasaradhi who was elected to the Assembly from Penamaluru constituency, was recently convicted by the court for violation of Foreign Exchange Act but was allowed to approach upper court.
