Lucknow: A case has been booked against Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board Wasim Rizvi for spreading hatred between the two communities by releasing the trailer of his film. Mr Abdul Waheed Farooqui showed the trailer of the film made by Rizvi to the media and claimed that the film tries to disrupt peace and spread hatred between the two communities. On the direction of the court, the Chowk police booked a case against Wasim Rizvi under section 153, 153A, 504 and 505 of Cinema Act.
Meanwhile, social worker Tanveer Ahmed Siddiqui has issued a notice to Rizvi for his remark against Madrasas in which Rizvi said that madrasas promote ISIS ideology. Mr Tanveer in the notice said that Rizvi’s remark has hurt him as he is also a madrasa pass out. He said his non-Muslim friends are looking at him suspiciously after the statement of Wasim Rizvi.
In the notice issued, the lawyer of Tanveer has asked Rizvi to prove his statement that madrasas get financial aid from ISIS within 15 days. If he doesn’t prove his statement with evidence, legal action will be taken against him.
