Jammu: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Praveen Togadia on Saturday said those pelting stones at the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir should be “carpet bombed”.
Togadia, who is presently on a visit here, also opposed any dialogue with Kashmiri separatists and that Dineshwar Sharma, the new interlocutor on Kashmir, should give top priority to the return of Kashmiri Pandit community to the Valley.
“Those demanding ‘azadi’ or self-rule should go to Pakistan… they have no right to live in this country,” he told media persons here. Terming separatists “Pakistani agents”, he said, adding that a dialogue will not help as they “only understand the language of the AK-47”.
“Unless Kashmiri Pandits are settled in their homeland, no dialogue is worth its meaning. The fact that they cannot come back to their homes is not only painful, but insulting as well.
“Therefore, I ask Sharma to give priority to the issue and ensure their settlement within a time frame,” he said.
The VHP chief also said that special privileges like the Constitution’s Article 370 and 35A should be removed if the state of Jammu and Kashmir has to make progress.
