Cardamom futures slide 0.73% on low demand

New delhi: Cardamom prices declined by 0.73 per cent to Rs 1,382 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed positions amid sluggish spot demand.

Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing regions also put pressure on cardamom prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in April fell Rs 10.10, or 0.73 per cent, to Rs 1,382 per kg in business turnover of 5 lots.

Marketmen said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
