New Delhi: Continuing its rising streak for the fifth day, cardamom prices advanced by 0.78 per cent to Rs 1,020 per kg in futures trade today as traders engaged in enlarging positions, driven by domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August rose by Rs 7.90 or 0.78 per cent to Rs 1020 per kg in business turnover of 1 lot.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in September contracts traded higher by Rs 4.10 or 0.42 per cent to Rs 978.30 per kg in 98 lots.
Analysts said raising of positions by participants due to pick up in domestic as well as exports demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
